Black Mamba products are Halaal certified
At Black Mamba we take very seriously our food safety, and this includes making sure that all our Ethical Foodies and Chilliheads know that they can enjoy our Dangerously Tasty products while they tick all their boxes and requirements.
One of the requirements we decided to fulfill from the beginning is obtaining a Halal (or Halaal) certification.
Halal (/həˈlɑːl/; Arabic: حلال, ḥalāl) is an Arabic word that translates to "permissible" in English. Halal certification states that the food or the products are permissible for the followers of Islam and no haram (forbidden) product or procedure is used while manufacturing or processing them.
Our certification is provided by South African National Halaal Authority, SANHAS. Every quarter, their representatives come from South Africa to check our premises, procedures and ingredients to make sure we adhere to their regulations.
Black Mamba products are vegan (except our hot hoeny) and intrinsically don’t use any ingredients that can be considered haram (such as alcohol or animal meat) but having a certification provide additional peace of mind for our Muslim customers.
